Summary of Request
Dear Public Records Officer, I hope this finds you well. I am writing to request copies of records from the Research Corporation of Hawaii through the Uniform Information Practices Act (UIPA). I am requesting documents related to ALL employees who work(ed) on the R/V Kilo Moana (master and crew), Ocean Technology Group, and SOEST ROV Operations. Please include employees who are employed by the Research Corporation at any time during the calendars years of 2019 and 2020 and 2021. For each employee, please include: -- Employee first and last name -- Department/facility employee works in (ie. R/V Kilo Moana, Ocean Technology Group, etc.) -- Type of work (shipboard operations, marine technical services, etc.) -- Salary (monthly, annual, or whatever information is available) -- Any health benefits received by the employee -- Job title -- Occupational groups with EEOC code if applicable -- Employment status and date ranges worked for all employees -- Bargaining unit and union representation status (if applicable) -- Employee’s work schedule in calendar years 2019 and 2020 and 2021 (monthly, weekly, daily) Please let me know what timeline you will need to produce this data. UIPA requires an initial response time of 10 working days. I prefer electronic copies whenever possible, and please send over records as they become available (rather than waiting to send them in bulk). If you are unable to provide data for any aspect of this request, please provide a detailed explanation as to why and indicate what, if any, appeals process is available. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Grace Williams
