While I appreciate that the Department may have felt compelled to check a box on the Acknowledgement to justify taking longer, these logs are clearly public records and have been disclosed by the Department in the past, so there is no need to consult with anyone about whether the records are exempt. Moreover, that extenuating circumstance does not apply to consultation with OIP or corporation counsel. If you could provide some idea of when disclosure is anticipated, I would appreciate it.
