Dear Sir or Madam,
I received your request for clarification regarding my government records request for "petitions for administrative forfeiture filed by the AG's office for the years 2019 -2021."
You requested clarification as to whether that request was intended to be petitions filed BY or WITH the AG's office.
As the report I am working on encompasses all aspects of the state forfeiture system, I would like to request both those petitions filed BY the AG's office as well as those filed WITH the AG's office.
If this makes it necessary to deal with this request in parts/sections, I understand.
Thank you,
Malia Hill
...
Sincerely yours
Malia Hill

Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your question. In response to your request for clarification as to fiscal or calendar years, we would like the fiscal year.
In fact, if it is possible to do so, I would like to slightly modify the year range so that we are asking for records from fiscal year 2018 through (and including) fiscal year 2021.
Thank you again for your assistance.
...
Sincerely yours
Malia Hill

Dear Ms. Hill,
In addition to providing a Second Notice to Requestor (now providing an estimate of fees and costs), we are also approving your request to add an additional fiscal year (FY 2018) to the original request.
For the Government Records You Requested section, we are providing an attachment showing the original request, and the clarifications made resulting in the final accepted request currently being considered.
The agreed upon changes to the original request now reads :
Requesting Petitions for administrative forfeiture filed by and with the Attorney General's office - including those petitions that were amended, refiled, or withdrawn - for the fiscal years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
I estimate that there are approximately 380 petitions filed during this time period.
Thank you,
Department of the Attorney General
