Good afternoon Ms. Chung. My name is Erin from the County of Kaua‘i, Office of the County Attorney. This office serves as the custodian of the County of Kaua‘i’s UIPA Logs. OIP’s letter, Request for Assistance to Access Records (U RFA-P 26-88 and U RFA-P 26-89), dated December 5, 2025 via email to the Director of Finance was forwarded to our office this morning and I have completed your request. Please find the attached spreadsheets of the annual UIPA Logs for the Department of Finance and the Office of the Mayor. This serves as compliance with HRS 92F for your request to both the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Finance. Neither the Office of the Mayor nor the Department of Finance received your initial request dated Nov. 1, 2025. We are working with our IT division to determine whether it is related to a firewall issue and the email <<email address>> used to submit the request which is different from the email indicated in OIP’s letter <<email address>> Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Additionally, I have spoken with our IT division regarding the reasons why the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Finance didn't receive the initial requests. They asked if you could provide the following information so they can investigate this matter further. * the timestamp (with timezone); * the exact recipient addresses used; * the sending system’s message ID / SMTP logs * and any bounce notice she may have received Thank you.
