The proposed permit modification for PGV is still under consideration. Our office is considering and drafting responses to the comments submitted to us on the draft permit. Because we are still evaluating the comments, it is currently premature to consider scheduling a contested case or any other potential challenges to a permit determination, since no such determination has been made.

In December 2024 PGV applied to modify it's NSP permit. In December 2025, the Health Department finally calls a public meeting in Pahoa where many dozens of residents testified against issuing any more Air Pollution Permits to Puna Geothermal Venture.
Please disclose in writing what is the status of PGV's 12-2024 application to modify permit?
If the permit has been approved please attach a copy of the permit.
If the Health Department is planning on issuing the permit, please disclose in writing when is our contested case scheduled for?
