Aloha, On August 29, 2022, the Office of the County Clerk, County of Hawaii received your request for: • the chain of custody of all ballots collected from drop boxes and retrieved via the US Mail throughout the island of Hawaii, from the time of ballot drop to poll closing on Election Day 2020. Please include location, ballot count and or weight, time stamp, staff locations & custody sign off, route structure of all transportation of all transferred ballots between point of pickup and ballot counting election facility. Including any and all transfers of vehicles or drivers. We are unable to provide the requested information pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes ("HRS") 92F-11(c) which states that, "unless the information is readily retrievable by the agency in the form in which it is requested, an agency shall not be required to prepare a compilation or summary of its records." As noted in the attached “Notice to Requester” (NTR) form, the information you requested is not readily retrievable by the Elections division and therefore we are incapable of providing you the requested "chain of custody" that is being requested.
