Aloha, The Office of the County Clerk, County of Hawaiʻi, received your check on March 16, 2022, for the 50% prepayment of your records request below (and attached). Hawaii Administrative Rule (“HAR”) section 2-71-16(b)(1) states that the requester shall be presumed to have abandoned the records request, and this agency would have no duty to further process the request, if the requestor fails to comply with the requirements set forth in the Notice to Requestor (“NTR”) form within 20 business days after the date of the agency’s notice. Although we did not receive your payment within the timeline set forth in HAR 2-71-16(b), we are still providing the records requested. Please note that we will be sticking with the guidelines set forth by the HAR and/or state law for all future requests.
