Dear Bin, I don't understand how this could possibly take 14 hours. I thought you just got some new software for catch reports. Does it not have a function for sorting/reporting essential data? Plus, you've already provided at least half of 2018 in another report (unsure of the end date -- it wasn't disclosed). Please advise. ... Sincerely yours Rene Umberger

Hi Rene, I did check with the DAR staff on that, and it appears to be legit. This fishery is being harvested by fewer collectors now, and there are many species that are reported by only one or two collectors. Your query cannot be performed by only by programming, it involves manually searching the query report and selecting the species that must be pooled under the 'All other' category for each data strata, such as by area zone, etc. So next time, it would be much easier and less time consuming if the 'All other' category was dropped from the request, just to let you know.
